The Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana is currently accepting resumes for the following positions:

Family Support Specialist, Family Support Organization – Full-time (32 or 40 hours per week) or Part-time (20 – 25 hours per week) positions available

Experienced advocate needed to serve as a member of the Child and Family Teams for development of plans of care, service coordination and monitoring of service delivery for families while their child is being served through the Coordinated System of Care (CSoC).  Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience working or living with a child with a serious emotional disorder or be equivalently qualified by education in the human services field or a combination of work/life experience and education.  Preferred experience includes: special education (IEP development), truancy, mental health/counseling, employee supervision, juvenile justice and/or parenting education.   A bachelor’s degree is preferred; associate’s degree required.

Early Childhood Life Skills Coordinator – Full-time (32 hours per week)

Knowledgeable Early Childhood Life Skills Coordinator is responsible for the promotion, coordination, and implementation of the Al’s Pals curriculum. The curriculum content focuses on expression of feelings, brainstorming ideas, communication, positive relationships, safe and unsafe situations, impulse control, and problem solving in early childhood classroom.

Education – A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Early Childhood, Counseling, Social Work, or related field is required.

Experience – A minimum of two years’ working experience with children in a child care and/or school setting is needed.
